TU 142 Aircraft Museum Vizag features a Tupolev TU-142 aircraft that served the Indian Navy for several years. After its retirement, the aircraft was preserved and converted into a museum to educate visitors about naval aviation. Moreover, this aircraft was mainly used for long-range maritime patrol and surveillance missions.

The Aircraft Museum was inaugurated in 2017, centered around the TU‑142 aircraft, which had served the Indian Navy for over three decades. Known as one of the longest‑serving maritime patrol aircraft, the TU‑142 played a crucial role in surveillance, reconnaissance, and anti‑submarine warfare.
